Bienvenido a Mi Mundo
I am a bilingual behavioral health and human services professional with more than 10 years of experience in education, youth services, residential treatment, behavioral health, security operations, and community support. Throughout my career, I have been committed to helping individuals overcome challenges, develop practical skills, and achieve greater independence.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, an Associate of Applied Science from Pierpont Community & Technical College, and additional technical training in information technology and workforce development. My educational background provides a strong foundation in human behavior, psychology, communication, and problem-solving.
For more than eight years, I worked with immigrant and refugee youth in programs supported by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), providing ESL instruction, Civics education, digital literacy, life-skills development, behavioral support, and mentorship. Fluent in English and Spanish, I have extensive experience working with individuals from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
My professional experience has expanded into residential treatment and inpatient behavioral health, where I support youth and adults experiencing emotional, behavioral, developmental, and mental health challenges. My work includes trauma-informed care, therapeutic communication, crisis intervention, behavioral support, safety monitoring, documentation, compliance, and collaboration with multidisciplinary treatment teams. This experience has given me a unique perspective that bridges both social systems—including education, housing, and family reunification—and clinical behavioral health, allowing me to understand the broader factors that influence an individual's well-being and long-term success.
In addition to my human services experience, I bring strong technical skills in Microsoft Office, database systems, educational technology, computer troubleshooting, and network administration. This combination of behavioral health, social services, and technical expertise enables me to adapt quickly, solve complex problems, and contribute effectively across diverse professional environments.
I am passionate about promoting mental wellness, building meaningful relationships, and empowering individuals and families to achieve stability, resilience, and long-term success.
